M.A.D. Camp was set up in 2009 by Athlone native Kori Kilduff. Kori has spent many years working in youth theatre in the midlands and the West and decided to start up her own camp for children and young adults. She wanted to create a space where they could learn skills in music, drama and dance from experienced teachers, all while having fun and making friends.
At M.A.D. Camp we focus on three areas: Music, Acting (Drama), and Dance. In music classes we learn how to use our voice to sing with confidence and ease, in drama we play games that stretch our creativity and learn the art of the stage and in dance we get a taste of all styles from hip hop to contemporary. These classes culminate in an end of camp performance where we can show off the skills we've learnt to our friends and family.
Camp is about having fun and at M.A.D. Camp that is our number one priority! Every class is based around learning through fun and games and there is always something for everyone!
"MAD camp will forever have a special place in my heart. I made friends unlike any other and grew as an actor, friend, and person because of the incredible instructors. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it weren’t for this camp empowering me to discover who I was and embrace it."
-Angela Coen, past pupil
